well, a lot of the people here are still in school...
so if you want to complain about your school or teachers, classmates, timetables etc. or want to know how someone schoolsystem works, you can do/ask that here ^^

I am going to high school, in real life when I think about it, it makes me feel old, when I think about it here, I feel like a kid again .-.

it is fine ryuku. getting old is not something that should be avoided. just enjoy the moments you have now. don't forget, these are considered to be our best years. ( i would have said something more regarding this, but i am afraid i will get off topic, so i 'll just keep quiet for now)

Na, your right all the way, I just hate the concept is all.

So back to school then, we have all had good teachers, we've all had bad ones o.o Personally, all the way till 3rd grade, I had great teachers xD The third grade one was crabby, yelled alot, and had a frog addiction(nothing against that xD). I am too lazy to finish, so you people go ahead.

pre-school

kindergarden(cant spell it)

1st through 6th grade

junior high (7th and 8 th grade)

highschool
freshman 9th grade
sophomore 10th grade
junior 11th grade
senoir 12th grade
then college

mine is easy compared to your school system ther is only 12 grades

1 through 6 is middle school

7 and 8 is junoir high

9 through 12 is highschool

and the rest is college if u attend college

in ours its devided into 3 schools so that every pupil is educated with their standards and speed...

just imagine that...
a class with high intelligent and very stupid ones...
on one hand it can happen that because of the stupid ones the teacher has to explain stuff over and over so the the whole class gets slowed down and the intelligent get bored and dont get enough challenged and actually throw away their talent cause the class is too slow...
on the other hand it can happen the opposite... that those stupid ones get thrown back in the material so that they cant understand anything anymore and become very useless parts of society...

ya there is to much state control though in that system in my opinion with the state decided where u go and almost what u learn i prefer being in class with dumb people than someone telling me where i have to go

its not controle...
its done so that everyone can get the education that fits to their needs and talent/skills...

its like this...
when you are the dumb... you can only go to the dumb school
when you are avarege... you can decide between dumb and average school
when you are intelligent you can decide between dumb, average and intelligent school

and dont forget... you still can move between those schools...
so that you can make your intelligent grade even if you first started with the dumb...
or also other way round..
you can start with intelligent but if you notice.. it gets too much for you... you can go to the dumb again...

also in germany... you can repeat classes/years... ö.ö
example: year 7... marks are not very good... not enough... ppl fear you wont understand the rest of the material in higher year... you'll have to repeat the year and get the chance to gain better marks

do you first be high class designer for whatever you want....
or do you first go study at university/college???

thats what i mean...
you get your grade... your diploma... whatever... and start doing the job you might want to do your whole life through..
but im not counting those lil jobs you do while vacancas or during studying as "the JOB"

you first go to college then you start your job... thats what it means...
